  1. Make a dough from the ingredients given, let rest for ½ hour.
  2. Then divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
  3. Roll each into a sheet and bake separately into a greased and dusted pan.
  4. For the cream, mix the milk with the sugar and flour, on the range, until the mixture starts to thicken.
  5. Remove from heat and add butter and almond essence, mixing well.
  6. Spread this cream over all three sheets and place one on top of the other.
  7. Serve cut into squares.
