  1. Melt butter in 1½ quart casserole dish.
  2. Mix sugar, flour, and milk.
  3. Stir thoroughly.
  4. Pour mixture over butter without stirring.
  5. Add peaches to mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes or until top is slightly brown and crusty.
  7. Serve hot or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
