  1. Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolk and salt.
  2. Add and salt.
  3. Add flour gradually and beat.
  4. Pat dough into thin layer in 12 x 12 inch pan.
  5. Beat egg whites; add sugar until stands in stiff peaks.
  6. Fold in ground nuts and flavoring.
  7. Spread jelly over and swirl meringue on top.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped nuts; bake at 350°F about 45 minutes.
  9. When warm, cut in squares.
