Ingredients[]

  • ⅓ cup Mazola™ (or other vegetable oil)
  • 1 cup Karo, Red Label
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons Argo or Kingsfords cornstarch
  • 1¾ cups bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • grated rind ½ lemon
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • ½ teaspoon orange extract

Directions[]

  1. First pour the Mazola into a mixing bowl
  2. Add the Karo, egg and the other ingredients mentioned.
  3. Mix
  4. Drop by small teaspoonfuls onto a pan oiled with Mazola, sprinkled thickly with coconut
  5. Bake in a moderate oven, 350°F to 375°F for fifteen minutes.
