Ingredients

• 3 tsp baking powder
• 3½ cup flour
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ cup Crisco
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

1. Cream Crisco, sugar, and eggs.
2. Sift together baking powder, flour, and salt.
3. To the creamed mixture, add flour mixture alternating with ½ cup milk.
4. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
5. If sticky and hard to handle, add more flour.
